If you have Mars in Capricorn with Venus in Virgo
you are . . .
The Analytic Slave of Love
You are a Lover so concerned with managing sex that you often appear shy and inhibited when, in fact, you are just examining all the options. Your physical drives are very strong but you are too much of a pragmatist to let them run free. You cultivate your desire, ruminate on your needs and generally avoid emotional entanglements until they become absolutely necessary. In the process, you become a very wise and worldly Lover, though not always a happy one.
Your approach to sex is thoroughly practical and realistic. You keep the passion and the emotional issues in perspective and you adamantly avoid extremes. Still, there is a part of you that is drawn to self-sacrifice and even to a touch of misery for the sake of love; a part of you that longs to feel the yoke of obligation, duty and commitment to another person. It’s a stupid idea, of course. No sensible person would give in to such irrational urges and yet, with the right person, at the right time, you might just go for it.
CELEBRITY EXAMPLES OF THE ANALYTIC SLAVE OF LOVE
Our examples of The Analytic Slave of Love start off with the German poet and novelist Joha nn Wolfgang von Goethe (born Aug. 28, 1749 adb.) Goethe became famous after the publication of his novel, The Sorrows of Young Werther, which portrayed the suffering of a young man who commits suicide after he falls deeply in love with a woman he can not have. Young people across Europe were transfixed by Goethe’s novel. It brought forth such rush of emotional angst that some readers actually followed Werther’s example and killed themselves. Goethe, on the other hand, remained untouched by the wash of emotion. Even his infatuation with the woman who had inspired his novel was remarkable low-key. Though Goethe continued to write high-toned romantic verse about women and love for the rest of his long life, he conducted his own love life with sensible circumspection. When he finally established a permanent relationship in his late 30s it was with a plump working class girl who had once asked him for a hand-out. They remained a couple for the rest of his life.
