A fun spin on serious cosmic stuff! Wendell C. Perry has 40 years experience studying astrology and how it impacts personalities & relationships. He's written two books & published articles in astrology magazines. He's happy to share this website so that you, too, can have fun with astrology to help you in everyday life!
The theory behind progressions in astrology is that horoscopes, like so many other things, change with time. You might say they mature and potentialities that may be hidden within the original horoscope slowly become apparent. Secondary progressions set this rate of change at one day for every year of life. This idea might seem mystical to some but secondary progressions are amazing in accuracy, not only in the way they time events, but also in the way they predict the context in which these events will occur.
Charlie Sheen’s horoscope presents us with an excellent demonstration of how secondary progressions work. Sheen was born on Sept. 3, 1965, right in the midst of the “big” aspects that made the “60s” such a tumultuous and liberating decade. In his horoscope, Uranus and Pluto are within a degree of one another in Virgo, and Saturn is directly opposite in Pisces. These are all slow moving planets and many people born in the mid-60s will have this arrangement in their horoscopes. What makes Sheen’s somewhat special is the fact that his Sun is very close to a conjunction with Uranus and Pluto and an opposition aspect to Saturn.
Fixed Signs, Mutable Signs and the Amazing Story of Jaycee Dugard
In a previous article I defined the astrological term, Qualities. The twelve signs of the Zodiac are divided into three groups or Qualities: Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable.
The horoscope and tragic history of Jaycee Dugard provides us with an excellent example of how two of these Qualities function within the personality.
Dugard was kidnapped by convicted pedophile, Phillip Garrido, and his wife on June 10, 1991. She was eleven years old. She was tasered, pulled into a car, driven far away from her home, handcuffed and locked in a room.
In a previous article I talked about the Elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water, four categories into which the twelve signs of the Zodiac are divided. There is a second way of categorizing the signs. This is called the Qualities.
There are three different Qualities attributed to the twelve signs of the Zodiac: Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. Each of these Qualities includes four signs.
The Cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
The Fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
The Mutable signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
As with the Elements, signs that share the same Quality also share certain characteristics. Here is a list of keywords that describe those similarities.
Part 4 of 4 Parts: Venus in Aries, Leo and Sagittarius (the Fire Signs)
Every placement of Venus in the horoscope has the capacity to attract a partner but each sign does this in a different way. Deciding which Venus sign is the most attractive really comes down to a matter of taste. Let’s take a moment to review pros and cons of four different groups of Venus signs and then you can decide which one is most likely to rock your world.
Now let’s consider Venus in Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, the Fire Signs.
