During the Spring of 2011, when Donald Trump was hogging the political stage, demanding President Obama’s birth certificate and making noises about running for President, Neptune was hovering between 29 degree Aquarius and zero degrees of Pisces, close to Trump’s Descendant at 29 degrees of Aquarius (and, of course, opposite his Ascendant.) (Click here to see Trump's horoscope.) After Neptune moved beyond these critical degrees in Trump’s horoscope, he seemed to come to his senses and he eventually endorsed Mitt Romney.
Now Neptune has moved retrograde back to zero degrees of Pisces and a few days ago we saw Trump grabbing the national spotlight with a dreaded “October Surprise” that he promised would derail the Obama campaign for reelection. Of course, the ballyhooed announcement turned out to be just a rehash of the same “birther” malarkey that Trump was putting out in 2011.
Without a time of birth it is hard to say what is going on in the horoscope or the mind of Lindsay Lohan. Her penchant for trouble seems to constantly kept her in the news, with a new problem and a new twist emerging almost every day. Between her own problems with alcohol, drugs and cars and the questionable behavior of her father and mother, Lohan had become a TMZ staple.
What we can say about Lindsay Lohan’s horoscope is that she has an almost exact square between her Mercury and Pluto. (Depending on her birth time, it could be exact.) This aspect typically indicates thinking processes that are clouded and sometimes obstructed by cynicism. It is difficult for a person with this kind of aspect to trust the words and ideas of other people. They are always looking of ulterior motives and deceptions. When transiting Saturn comes around to the same degree of the zodiac that it occupied on the day of your birth; that is called your Saturn return. It marks a particularly important turning point in your life and a time when you are forced to grow up and put your life in order.
I’ve written a lot about Saturn returns, both on this website and in my book Saturn Cycles: Mapping the Changes in Your Life. I thought it might be fun to depict the internal workings of a Saturn return in the form of a comic strip. It is, of course, a humorous take on Saturn returns but who says Saturn can’t be funny.
Over the past couple of weeks Arnold Schwarzenegger has been all over the airways touting his memoir, Total Recall. In my last entry I examined what was going on in his horoscope right now but, since most the discussion involves his separation from Maria Shriver, I can’t help but wonder how she is weathering her husband’s media blitz.
First of all Shriver is a Scorpio by Sun sign and if there’s one thing that Scorpio people cannot abide it having their secrets revealed. A look at the transits and secondary progressions for Shriver seems to confirm his displeasure. In fact, these aspects tell us that she is still dealing with events that destroyed her marriage, the same events that Schwarzenegger has been “opening up about” on virtually every talk show going.
