Last week I put up an article about the Saturn transits that Joe Biden would be dealing in February (or thereabouts) 2023. (Click here to see that article.) Now it’s time to look a little farther down the line to the latter half of 2023 when Uranus will opposed to Joe Biden’s Mercury. (Click here to see a horoscope for Joe Biden.)
This opposition will be exact twice during 2023, on June 26 and Nov. 3 and it will be within a degree for most of June and July and most of Oct. and Nov. However, if you allow even a two degree orb for these two oppositions they combine to cover the entire period from May until the last few days of December.
Given the duration of this aspect, it is obviously going to be important. However, there’s one problem. The transiting planet is Uranus and predicting what Uranus will do is almost always an exercise in frustration. Even so-called hard aspects with Uranus can be outstandingly positive. But they can also outstanding negative. That’s all part of the nature of Uranus.
I felt that the New Moon chart for Dec. 23 (click here to see the article and the chart) could bring us an uptick in inflation. That didn’t happen. In fact, even with higher prices, holiday spending remained strong. Overall, the Jupiter square to the Sun and Moon in that chart seems to have brought a fairly uneventful holiday season, unless you were flying Southwest.
That’s what I got wrong in my analysis of the New Moon chart. I underestimated the power of Neptune just four degrees off the I.C. The I.C. represents home and a lot of people weren’t able to get home because of a major breakdown in the organization of Southwest flights. That was very much a Neptunian situation, with a lot of confusion and unfulfilled promises.
Another Neptunian situation seems to have emerged in the House of Representatives. The inability of Republicans to elect a Speaker has become something of an embarrassment, and embarrassing situations are Neptune’s stock and trade. At this point it seems as if this impasse will continue into the next lunation period. The good news for Kevin McCarthy is that in that chart (click on Full Moon to see the chart) Neptune is not prominent.
Let’s face it. Like every other U.S. president born with the Sun in the 12th House (Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush being two examples) Joe Biden is struggling. Much of his struggle has little to do with him. His chief problem has been inflation and the cause of that inflation reaches back to things that happened during previous administrations, in particular the pandemic and the Trump tax cut that reduced the federal income just as the pandemic was requiring more federal expenditures. But that’s the nature of the Sun in the 12th. Other people get the glory and all you get is the blame.
Will 2023 be any better for Joe Biden? Probably not. Along with the political obstacle of a Republican controlled House of Representatives intent on investigating anything and everything Joe Biden, but he’s will also facing some important astrological issues.
The first of these is the square to his natal Sun and Venus by transiting Saturn. (Click on Joe Biden to see his horoscope.) This will be a quick aspect. Saturn is moving fast during this period and the aspects will be within one degree for little more than two weeks. But given the scrutiny that the House will be devoting to his administration, that two week period could be momentous.
How do you define a bad day? Maybe you have a fender-bender in the parking lot at Costco, or your boss is in a bad mood and unloads it on you? Well, try this one on for size. First an internationally known environmentalist burns you on Twitter and then, while the whole world is tittering about how you were publicly unmanned by a teenager, your home is raided by armed police officers and you are arrested for sex trafficking. If you’ve got something that tops that, frankly, I’m not sure I want to hear about it.
Of course, as many people might already realize, I talking about Andrew Tate III, the former kick-boxing champion and current web-personality noted for his right-wing opinions and rampant misogyny. What was happening in Tate’s horoscope today (click Andrew Tate to see a horoscope done for noon on his date of birth) was that Mars was moving retrograde (and therefore slowly) opposite his natal Sun and possibly his natal Moon as well. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene getting caught in a Mars moment. Her issues, however, seem trivial compared to what Tate’s Mars moment has brought him.
