Bill Cosby and the Saturn “Gotcha”
In my book “Saturn Cycles: Mapping the Changes in Your Life” I point out that the stuff that happens to us during the period when Saturn is transiting one of the angles of the horoscope (the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven or I.C.) always have long term ramifications. In the article I wrote in Nov, 2014 about the allegations of rape made against Cosby, (click here to see the article) I pointed out that his problems had started in 2004 when an unnamed woman filed a law suit against him claiming that he had drugged her and then sexually abused her. Saturn was crossing Cosby’s I.C. in 2004.
That case was settled out of court, but in the process Cosby gave a deposition in which he admitted acquiring Quaaludes with the intention of giving them to women. The deposition was released in connection with a current law suit against Cosby making similar allegations. It will no doubt have a huge impact on that court proceeding.
When I wrote the article in November, Pluto was grinding its way across Cosby’s Midheaven, slowly destroying the feel-good public image the comedian had been building throughout his long career. Pluto has moved on, but now Uranus is crossing his Ascendant. Uranus brings surprises and shocking revelations. The information in this deposition is exacting the kind of shocker we expect from a Uranus transit.
But the problems for Cosby all started the law suit filed in 2004 when Saturn was on his I.C. That’s what forced Cosby to make his damning admission in 2005. Cosby may have thought he dodged a bullet when that suit was settled out of the public eye, but Saturn bullets don’t always hit you immediately. Sometime they follow you around for a few years, waiting for the next big transit to go "gotcha".
So far, no criminal charges have been filed against Cosby, and the statute of limitations has apparently expired on the accusations that have thus far come to light. However, Uranus will be moving back and forth across Cosby’s Ascendant until April of next year, so more surprising developments are likely.
