Around the Zodiac with the Avengerscapimagetrans

As a fan of Marvel Comics from way back I welcomed the release of the newest installment of the Marvel mythology: The Avengers. As I was enjoying the movie I couldn’t help but think about the characters in astrological terms. Assuming that fictional characters can have horoscopes, here are my thoughts on the Sun Signs of the six Avengers.

Let’s start with guy dressed in red, white and blue: Captain America.

Cap is the consummate straight arrow. He fights for traditional values like patriotism, honor and loyalty. He’s stone serious, intent on always doing his best and a little awkward socially. This superhero also comes with some baggage: guilt because of the death of his brother (in the movie, his teenage partner in the original comics,) Buddy. Along with this sad subtext, we have the fact that he’s living in the wrong century, having been frozen in the 1940s and thawed back to life in 2011.

It’s clear to me that Captain America is a Capricorn. He’s the classic over-achiever who respects traditional values and could be accused of being a little old-fashioned. Capricorns often hold on the guilt longer than they should. This is what motivates them to keep working harder. Capricorns frequently achieve positions of leadership, not because they have superior intelligence or skill, but because they are simply more intent on success that anyone else. That’s why I’m sure that if Steve Rogers was an actual human being, he would have been born under the sign of Capricorn.

That’s my opinion. Let's hear your's. Click on coments and tell us what sign you think would best fit Captain America.
