Following the Moon: Sept. 20, 2021GGAMoon

I got a couple of things right in my analysis to the New Moon chart for Sept. 6. (Click here to see the article and the chart.) I predicted that the pandemic would remain the dominant feature on the news and that there would be continued dissatisfaction with the Biden administration. Over the past two weeks hospitals across the country have struggled to keep up with rising tide of COVID patients and Biden has faced setbacks on several fronts, including a nasty snub by the French.

What I got wrong was my hope that the trine by Uranus to the Sun and Moon would provide us with some good news regarding our handling of the pandemic. Instead we got an uptick of people and institutions fighting over facemask requirements and continued obstinance from the anti-vax crowd. Right now the only way out of this pandemic seems to be through a long and well-populated graveyard.

With that in mind, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Full Moon chart for Sept. 20, (click on Full Moon to see the chart) is very much a repeat of the Sept. 6 chart. The Sun is once again in the Sixth House of health, with the Moon in the Twelfth. The Sun is in a wide conjunction with Mars and trine Pluto, which is sextile the Moon.

The influence of Mars in the Sixth indicates more sickness, more death and an intensification of the battle between the vaccinated and unvaccinated. With more businesses and institutions demanding proof of vaccination and a mask mandates becoming more prevalent, we could see an uprising from the those who see these rules as a type of government oppression. Mars doesn’t always have to be violent, but when its around violence is always a possibility.

Then we have the aspects by the Sun and Moon to Pluto, which is once again in the Tenth House of authority. This could mean that President Biden will be getting more credit and support for his efforts to stop the surge of COVID infections. Unfortunately for Biden, Pluto is square Mercury, which is prominently placed on the cusp of the Seventh House. This and the fact that Venus is also in the Seventh, opposed to Uranus and square Saturn, indicates that issues involving foreign policy could become critical and demand more of his attention.

The emphasis on the Seventh House of the “other” could also refer to the huge number of refugees that that are crowding our southern border. Dealing with this tide of desperate people has been a long-standing problem for this administration, as it was for the last one. The afore mentioned hard aspects are likely to bring that problem to a head during the next lunation period. Fortunately, there is also a positive aspect. Jupiter forms a nearly exact trine to Mercury. This gives us hope that we can arrive at a way of dealing with this crisis that in both viable and (since Jupiter in in the Eleventh House) in keeping with humanitarian values.
