Following the Moon: May 11, 2021GGAMoon

It didn’t take long for the Full Moon of Apr. 26 to do its work. (Click here to see the article and the chart.) I had predicted a surprising event or revelation involving a public figure and just a few days after the Full Moon the feds raided the home of Rudy Giuliani. I had thought that the event would involve finance and the charges currently facing Giuliani have to do with money.

Since Neptune was involved in the mix, I also predicted that news of this event would be spun in different ways to suit the agendas of different people. With prosecutors revealing little or nothing about the search, there was plenty of room for that sort of Neptunian conjecture and dissimulation.

The lunation also saw the fall of Liz Cheney. This was less of a Uranian shock and more of a Neptunian stumble, as the Republican Party continues its transformation from a respectable bastion of conservative ideology into a giddy, teenage fan club for a certain ex-President.

Neptune plays and even larger role in the New Moon chart for May 11. (Click on New Moon to see the chart.) Neptune is prominently placed near the Descendant in this chart and it forms a close sextile to the Sun and Moon. Since the Sun and Moon are in the Ninth House, politics and public policy are going to be accented.

This might have to do with the huge infrastructure bill that is currently working its way through congress and the behind-the-scenes deal-making that is going to be necessary to secure its passage. The sextile aspect might be taken as an indication that these deals and compromises will be sufficient to get the bill signed into law, but sextiles are weak aspects and guarantee nothing.

Mars in this chart is prominently placed in the Tenth House and it forms a nearly exact sextile with Uranus. This describes a violent event involving persons in authority, but again, the aspect is a sextile. Sextiles are rarely indicators of major events. Maybe Biden will fall down again or his dog will nip another Secret Service agent.

The aspect in this chart that has me most worried involves two planets typically consider benevolent. That is the square between Jupiter in the Sixth House of health and Venus in the Ninth House of public policy. I see this as representing both the reluctance of so many Americans to get the COVID-19 vaccine and the complacency of some government officials that is causing states to completely open up even though herd immunity is a long way off. I fear that of these factors could result a surge of infections.

The best thing about his New Moon chart is the situation with Mercury. It is strongly placed in Gemini and (since Virgo is Rising) it is the ruler of the horoscope. Mercury receives a sextile from Uranus and a trine from Saturn. This describes a search for clarity and justice. Mercury is about communication and, with a trine to Saturn, that communication is going to be serious and truthful. In these very Neptunian times, some serious talk and a little truth would be a welcome change.
