Joe Biden’s Sex Scandal
I have to admit that I haven’t been paying a lot of attention to allegations made by Tara Reade about Joe Biden. It’s not that I don’t think that they are important. It’s just that this is just the sort of he-said, she-said, Neptunian scandal that I expected to crop up with Neptune crossing Biden’s I.C. For a while it looked like the dealings by Biden’s son in Ukraine were going to fill that bill, but the Hunter Biden scandal seemed to fizzle after the impeachment hearings. Tara Reade’s allegation that Biden attempted to rape her slipped very neatly into that vacancy.
However, there is something else going on in Biden’s horoscope (click here to see the chart) that is an even better representative of this scandal. Saturn is currently square Biden’s natal Moon. The Moon represents women and it is placed in Biden’s Fifth House which, among other things, has to do with love affairs. I don’t think that what Tara Reade claims happened between her and Biden would ever be characterized as a love affair, but the connection to sex still stands.
Essentially, what we’re seeing is the combination of Saturn’s square to Biden’s Moon and Neptune on his I.C. Previous to this square the major problem for Biden came from his relationship with his son. (The I.C. marks the beginning of the Fourth House of family.) When Saturn entered the picture the emphasis changed to women and sex.
The square by Saturn describes blame, judgement and recriminations. There are already some Democrats, mostly from the Bernie Sanders wing of the party, who have judged Joe Biden guilty. The current cultural climate (rightfully so) does not allow for the swift dismissal of allegations like Reade’s so the blame is going to continue. Meanwhile, the media, hungry for something other that Coronavirus stats to report, is not likely to let the matter fall off the front pages any time soon.
Transiting Neptune is going to continue to plague Joe Biden for the rest of this year, and certainly through November. He is likely going to be dealing with either this scandal or some other scandal throughout this period. This transit also has much to do with Biden's proneness for gaffs and rambling stories. Clarity is always in short supply when Neptune is in the house, and Neptune in Biden’s natal chart occupies his Tenth House of career and reputation. Even without this transit, the public’s image of Joe Biden will always have vague, Neptunian quality.
The good news for Biden, if there is any, is that transiting Saturn will be moving retrograde away from its square to his natal Moon by the end of June. This might indicate some resolution to the controversy or just that people will have grown tired of it, just as they’ve grown tired of the multiple sexual abuse complains that have been leveled against Donald Trump. Of course, by then the damage done to Biden’s campaign could be fatal.
As far as I know, we don’t even have a birthdate of Tara Reade. Even if we did, however, I’m not inclined to offer an opinion about her claims. All I can say is that, as far as Joe Biden’s chart is concerned, it is pretty much exactly what any astrologer would expect.
